Sheep in New York City

Sheep in Bryant Park by Monica Goslin

Sheep in New York City!

If you were in Bryant Park last Thursday you might have noticed an unusual sight, sheep in the middle of New York City!

The adorable bunch of sheep were gathered together in a corralled section and admired by passersby, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces. In addition to the sheep, the water in the fountain at Bryant Park was replaced with wool, tables were set up with rugs, a special mattress, a wool cleaning and processing table, and colorful sheep sculptures flanked stairs of the west entrance of the park.

The sheep in Bryant Park were part of “The Campaign for Wool,” a campaign aimed at supporting sheep farming and promoting the sustainable benefits of wool. The wool campaign was launched by HRH The Prince of Wales and events will continue in different cities; to find out more and to see what events you can attend visit www.campaignforwool.org
